A reference resource for TISD customers

First, open Microsoft Outlook.

 

  • Go to the Tools Menu at the top of the window, and go down to Account Settings, This will start the account configuration wizard for Outlook.
  • Select New on the top left under the E-mail tab.

 

  • The wizard will then ask you for the following information:
    • Your  name: Enter your full name in this space.
    • E-mail Address: Enter your full TISD email address in this space.
    • Password: Enter the password that you created or we generated for your account. If you are unsure of this information, please contact our technical support.
    • On the bottom you will see a box that says "Manually configure server settings or additional server types", make sure this is CHECKED.
    • Click Next.
  • Choose Internet E-mail.
  • Click Next.
  • Your Name, E-mail address, User Name and Password should already be filled in. If they are not do so with your information that you entered previously.
  • The Account Type should be set on IMAP
  • The Incoming mail server and Outgoing mail server should both be set as: mail.tisd.net

 

Leave the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" box UNCHECKED

 

  • Now, click the box that says More Settings. This will open an Internet E-mail Settings window, click on the Outgoing Server tab.
  • Check the box that says My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, and ensure the option underneath is set to Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  • Click the OK button at the bottom of the Internet E-mail Settings window.
  • Lastly, click Next and Finish on the E-mail Accounts wizard.

 

The email account should be set up to send and receive e-mail.
